Bumping old posts ._.

Post from 2009/2010/2011 keep coming up in the active topics because of people making posts with the same title. As a result, the newly created posts are deleted and the old post with the identical title is bumped into the active topics.
People keep commenting on them (Admittedly, myself included) and it is starting to become a really annoying glitch that needs to be fixed. Not only annoying for the people that look at the 'active topics' bar but for the people who do accidentally comment on these posts. Firstly, I'd just like to say that it is not US, the people who comment on the old posts without realizing it that bump it. It is actually the identical title glitch doing that.

a) I do apologize for consistently accidentally commenting on these old posts. It IS really annoying.
b) Please keep in mind, it is not the people commenting/myself doing the bumping, it is the glitch. Therefore us commenting does not make a difference.
I think that it would be a good idea to introduce a system where topics older than a certain date cannot be bumped, or topics older than a certain date become auto-locked. This would prevent the posts from being bumped. However, it still would not fix the identical title problem. ._. Which also needs to be fixed....
I will try to check the date of posts from now on ._.
I feel I had to make this post, it is slightly embarrassing when you are constantly commenting on year-old posts.
