Answer: Yes!
I recently bought a used, but good condition Macbook (First gen unibody aluminum, not a pro, or air). It's from 2008, but based on the specs, it really can't hurt since I'm not looking for a gaming computer, It was perfect for the price. (1/8 the price of a new one at the time)
Specs:
- 2.0ghz Intel Core 2 duo
-5Gb of ram (1333mHz- will upgrade to another stick of ram to 8GB)
-120GB HDD (will upgrade to 240GB SSD)
-NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
[EDIT] (forgot the video card lolz)
And yes, despite what people say, An old macbook can DEFINITELY play games. Not the newest titles mind you, But it's a lot cheaper than a gaming laptop, and for the price, used, it's flawless.
I included some pictures down below of the FPS.
(Also, not included in the photos down below, IT CAN run War Thunder decently, 25-35 FPS, and Team Fortress 2, decently.)

Obviously it can, this laptop has pretty good specs also actually, so minecraft is no hassle for it.
Looking at the specs and benchmarks, this looks very similar to my late 2006 iMac. This means you could probably be able to play games like Skyrim. My iMac runs it at around 20-30 fps (on low settings at 800x600). You'd need to install Bootcamp to run it, though.
Still a great laptop find! I always had good experiences with old Macs.
Still not sure where/how to find a windows iso. I don't have an install disk/nor money to purchase a license and I know you can find an unlicensed verison of windows 7 around the internet so I'm still looking into it :P And I can play War thunder on the lowest (old V card settings) Which still look half decent ( more like a smartphone game ) But it plays decent enough.
Pfft, sub 200 fps...
Always maintain your pc. Clean up the dust particles inside if you know how to, because that is pretty old computer, so knowing if its clean will help you a lot.
love my mackbook

That's awesome for you, I'm glad you're enjoying your new laptop :D
