Cannot change movement keys on World of Minecraft client

When I redefine the movement keys they do not work, it remains on the default movement keys. Why is this?

Changing movement keys
Hi, I like to have the cursor keys for movement, as I always do in games I play. I'm left handed so it's awkward using keys on the left of the keyboard with my right hand. Would be wonderful to be able to change them, I'm going back to the Minecraft.net Java window to build because of it.

not going to work
i'm pretty sure that the function to change the key bindings doesn't work on any of the recent versions of the client, sorry about any inconveniences this causes
