Cannot start a server

Hi, I have a problem. I start a server in MCSharp, everything seems to be ok there, I can connect to my server but others can't. They receive "The server is propably down" or something like that. But it's not down, I can connect. I opened port 6669. What's the problem then? Please help.

the default minecraft server port is: 25565

wait do you have to use that Port number 25565...why cant you use your own?

Probably didn't port forward correctly, or you have a really bad internet connection.
