Well, my friend has set-up a bukkit server on Minecraft. And I can connect fine when connecting through Hamachi. But when I try to connect to it through his ip from 'Whatsmyip', I get, 'internal exception java.net.sockettimeoutexception read timed out'
Any ideas on how to fix this? Because we want to be able to connect without using Hamachi. And yes, my friend has port forwarded :)

You need to port forward, follow the link and it will fix it all without using logmein hamachi.

nono the person running the server has to port forward not you!

I understand that but if his DHCP has changed his internal IP he needs to re portforward and needs to go to command prompt and run ipconfig and figure out his new internal IP.
DHCP- Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
Reason: Your friend reset his router causing the DHCP to reset and change his IP due to security reasons.
Outcome: f***s up all kinds of things.
Resolution: Listen to me :]

the ip you are typing in does it start with 192 or 42 or 64

Well first try the IP normal not the zeros but at the end type this to see if it helps 00.000.000.000:25565 the 25565 is the port and if for some reason he has it other than the deafult your f***ed, and if none of this works and he managed to just mess everything up i can just be really nice and ill open a server for you and your friends just let me know i can give you guys full admin power just let me know.
