Cant craft dispensers

Hi fellas,
i had a problem with crafting dispenser... i but the mats into the crafting box but didnt get the dispenser as result ... somebody know's what this is or had this problem to?
I play minecraft 1.2.6 singleplayer and it doesnt works :(

i think that for some reason your game may not have updated yet since it works for me, if it has updated then you should tell notch.

Ummm....
Have you tried changing the order or the items that are going to be used in the crafting?
I'm not sure that there is a specific order or not, but sometimes things need a specific order to get a specific outcome. (They are finicky like that, I guess.)
That's the only advice I can think of, since I don't have the beta yet.
