cant download minecraft.jar

when i paste in this url https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownload/classic/minecraft.jar to download the minecraft.jar it automaticly downloads to temporary folder instead of giving me a choice to where it goes. And after that i cant even find it please help!

Right, you should be able to right mouse click and select "Save Link As" or something similar to that.

What type of browser are you using? if your using firefox, you can right click it (when its finished on the downloads) and open the folder the downloaded .jar is in, Then drag it to desktop. Also, are you pressing run instead of the save button when you are about to download? because when you press save, it sometimes gives you a choice to where it goes.
