I downloded the client thingy and followed the instructions (Made a World of Minecraft folder on desktop, extracted World of Minecraft shiz into said folder, went to minecraft.net and downloaded minecraft.jar and put it in the lib folder inside my World of Minecraft folder). When i excexute the Run batch file thingy i get this error--
Could not find the main class: Main. Program will exit.
ERROR: Failed to run minecraft
JAVA6="D:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe"
I opened up the Run thing into notepad and saw that it said--
rem If you have a custom path to java, change auto below to
rem point to your java.exe file
rem eg: set JAVA6="C:\MyPath\bin\java.exe"
***REM just means w/e is after it is a comment line***
butttttttttttttttt, the "auto" find command thing he has set up does a bang up job at finding the java.exe (I checked, its the right spot)
So.... now I'm just confused as to why the heck I'm getting this error...
If it's because the Minecraft.jar file I downloaded is too recent or something, could you supply me with a link for an older version (a compatible one) that would be greatly appreciated.... then again, any sort of help at this point would be :P

While waiting for a response to my problem I was browsing the forums and found neomatrixj2 posting a link to a differnt minecraft.jar file
https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownload/classic/minecraft.jar
If anyone else is having problems starting up the World of Minecraft client, I suggest using this file instead of the file supplied off the official website..... I just realized.....
Oh well, I know I gave Notch my $14 :P
