I'm using ubuntu 9.10 and when I get on minecraft, it loads, then the screen goes dark and nothing happens. Any ideas on how to fix this?

if your not using any hacks(Internet browser) this what you do
1. choose what server you wat to play on & remeber the name of it
2. click on the server and let it load
3. click the home button at the top of the screen
4. go back and find the server ur tryin to join
5. it should load and if you get some goofy java exception thing you have to start all over

There is an additional file you need to add to the World of Minecraft client, re-read the client page.

edjiang I had the same problem to fix it I colsed all the other programs I had running.
