So, I open up World Of Minecraft, type in my login, click the "Singleplayer" button, then the window closes and nothing happens!

If you don't want to play in browser and you can't play with the client then I guess don't play?

I believe single player hasn't been working since... 1.7.0 or something close to there. Just go to www.minecraft.net to play single player.

The new client does not support single player, you must download the older version of the client to be able to play single player.
