Can't Restore My World

I went to resume my saved game but it wasn't their. So I went to the backup manager, but it said I never had a world in any of the 5 slots. The saved world files are still were they should be, the game just won't use them.

I forgot...
I forgot to mention that my comp did crash before I discovered the absence of my save. I think that the file was corrupted, maybe?

I'm having a similar problem... I was playing, my computer died for a minute, I turned it back on, and one of my worlds was deleted, is it possible to get back? :(
