Can't use IRC mac?

I want to be a moderator but of the requirements is IRC, I have an IRC client Colloquy. Nothing I can do allows assess to the chat room. I put all the chat server, the room and everything just nothing happens. Any ideas?

PJIRC isn't a bad client, but I dunno the options for OSX IRC clients. I think irssi will run on it in a terminal, that's not a bad client (she says as she sponsors her favorite again). Chatzilla for Firefox is pretty good. I think there's a build of XChat available for Mac, that's good too.
Beyond that it's just connecting to irc.esper.net and joining #wom
