When I double click the client an error pops up in cmd saying I need java.exe. After I saw that I downloaded the latest version of java, then I did it again. Yet it stills says that. Can someone give me a download to java.exe?

this is what u gotta do

you have to download the minecraft.jar file. dont download the one off of the downloads section on minecraft.net that is the wrong file, it's too small.

the actual one u have to get is http://minecraft.net/client/minecraft.jar  download that file and put it where you need to according to the instructions given on the forums.

Spimp, i do not think you understand

if it says he need Java.exe, it has nothing to do with Minecraft.jar. Minecraft.jar is an extension (hack,) and the client can be ran without the.jar.

As for crisk21, i'm sorry, but i do not know how to fix it. (i do know that minecraft.jar is not the problem)

hmm... you may need to

hmm... you may need to redirect the offline client to your java installation folder. i had a similar problem a while back, and what i did to fix it was to edit run.bat in your World of Minecraft folder, and change the value of the line which reads:

set JAVA6 = "auto"

to

set JAVA6 = "(location of java.exe on your computer, most likely at C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe)"

I hope that solves your problem, man. ^__^
