I can sign in to the client, I can get a long list of servers but every one of them I have tried to log on to have come back with the message
failed to connect......its probably down
now I know there are a lot of sites that are down and dead (is it possible to remove them from the client list?) but for every one I have tried to stop in the same way, including the one I am admin on and I am fairly sure is still up, seems a bit odd.
Is the client still working?

my server is back but I can't get any other servers to come up? are they no longer operating and if so should they still show up on the list of servers? can someone clean out the dead servers as there are still hundreds and I haven't found a single one, apart from the one I admin on that is still working.
WOM main is still there.

I believe the server list is generated from Mojang and considering they no longer support classic it's unlikely they'll clean up the list.

I know that our server was working last night. Haven't tried it today, but the minecraft login servers are up. If it has been a while since you last played, have you checked the version you are running. And if you are using a third party launcher, try accessing the game from the standard launcher since either it or your third party one might just need an update.
