I downloaded the newest World of Minecraft client 2.0.5, and everytime I run World of Minecraft.exe nothing happens at all. I turned off all firewalls and put World of Minecraft.exe in my program exception lists. Still nothing. I used all the minecraft.jar I could find but I'm not sure if I've used the right one. I don't know what else to do, any help? I put the minecraft.jar's in the lib folder and outside of it and it didn't run either way.

Yes and then I run it as administrator and nothing happens. And I tried double clicking and nothing happens. I'm on Windows 7 OS if that helps at all.

Wait so..

Wait so you start it and nothing happens? Maybe your computer is not compatible with that version? Or just try downloading it again.

Same exact deal for me.

Same exact deal for me. Though I have just tried it again and this time around I did NOT supply any minecraft.jar file. Instead the World of Minecraft program asked me if I wanted to download a new one and I clicked 'yes'.. now I can see a login screen.

So try running the program fresh after unpacking it.

The login screen should

The login screen should appear, but it is not recognized as a program so it is not in your taskbar, but it is always open unless you click "Show Desktop" in the lower right hand part of the screen. To get the login screen just open another window or maximize a minimized window and minimize it. The login screen should still be up.

did you read that nice announcement at the top of every World of Minecraft page

Announcement:

There are a lot of threads showing up lately about the World of Minecraft Client being laggy.

This is due to the issues with the Minecraft.net Server List which should be sorted out soon on their end. We are also taking measures to prevent this from inconveniencing World of Minecraft users in the future.

In the meantime, the client will still launch, it takes a while to initially load. Also avoid using the server filter box in the World of Minecraft Client.
