Hey All,

Trying to connect to a server hosted on my local machine.
The "Select a server" page seems to only want to try using a url. Using Looback:port (127.0.0.1:25565) doesn't work at all. Get:
Error occured while loading Minecraft.net server list.
no protocol
127.0.0.1:25565
Do you wish to Retry, use a cached version or quit.
Retry provides the same, cached version loads to a black screen then hangs and I have to end process.
checking the server I see that it produces the following whenever I try to connect in this way:
[INFO] Disconnecting /127.0.0.1:49910: Protocol error
[INFO] /127.0.0.1:49910 lost connection *
*Port changes each attempt.
I've also tried http://www.minecraft.net/play.jsp?ip=127.0.0.1&port=25565 with the same issues.

Note: Server is in Online mode, Fly is enabled.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Ok...First, do you have beta?

Ok...First, do you have beta? If so then you won't be looking on the minecraft.net server list for smp servers. You have to get on minecraft.net either download the launcher or click 'In Browser' then go to 'Multiplayer' and type the ip in. If you don't have beta you wont be able to connect to and smp servers.

Yes I have Beta. I can

Yes I have Beta. I can connect to my server using the Minecraft client. What I am trying to do is connect using the World of Minecraft client. And this is where my issue is. The Normal client i've never had an issue with.

Does something specific have to be done to the server to connect using World of Minecraft?
