So, I'm trying to set a server for me and my friends down the hall. I am the only one with a premium MC account...I want to be able to connect to the server either through our college's wireless network, or just through a simple ethernet connection. The problem is, I cannot seem to find a good answer to my question. How do I allow them to connect to my server if they aren't using a premium account? Any help would be great! Thanks guys!

Long answer: If you haven't purchased Alpha, you're not playing Alpha multiplayer. They will have to purchase, as we don't condone piracy here.

I'm not trying to pirate the game...I'm just trying to run a small server for me and two friends who don't want to pay...its not a huge deal...was just wondering if it would be possible to play over a wireless network rather than the internet without them having to have a paid account. However, thank you for letting me know that it is impossible.

Just pay for the game! And it is breaking the copyright so it is breaking the law! You can play creative with thembut not alpha.

Okay...well I'm pretty sure its not breaking a copyright...seeing as how I am not distributing anything, nor selling anything. I'm going to be honest, if there was a EULA, I didn't read it, and perhaps it goes against that. I HAVE PAID FOR THE GAME, THANK YOU. The problem is, my friends haven't yet, and I just wanted to know if I could get them to play on my server without having to. I'm not going to get into a stupid argument over a question.
