i'm confused about the indev and infdev. i know they have new feature that make gameplay better, but when is it going to the public? do i have to buy minecraft to get survivour mode? (i really want to play survivour mode.) if so do i need a credit card or can i pay in cash? and come to think of it, how much is it anyway?

There is a "very" old version of survival that (i think) is free. Here: minecraft.net/survivaltest. (its not on the main page anymore.)
