Need more details....
OS.... 32 bit or 64 bit?
What you need to do is have the latest version of java.
http://java.com and download the latest client... extract all files to a folder and run the client. It will prompt to download minecraft.jar.... make sure you download it...
Use your minecraft.net username\password to sign in!
If none of that works then let me know the proper error.
