It downloads as a Compressed(zipped) folder.

Is it supposed to open as a WinZip file?

I click 'Open With' and click

I see folder 'lib' and 5 .jar files. That's it. Nothing else.

Okay, first off: Don't start

Okay, first off: Don't start spamming replies or private messaging staff if you don't get an answer within 10 seconds of posting.

Next, you open it with winzip/winrar/7zip/whatever, then you extract those files that are "just there". These are the client files. (Did you even read the instructions page?). Then download the minecraft.jar from the link posted in the client download page and follow those instructions.

Then you just run 'run.bat' and login. There you go.
