Distorted colors

Ok so i tried to install a texture pack and failed. hard. now i deleted EVERYTHING and downloaded mn about 10 times, but my leaves and grass are still off colored. im running windows xp, i tried deleting my .jar and my bin and they both just break the game. any ideas?

if the skeletens now actually hold bows, then its the halloween update

as part of the minecraft halloween update, the grass and leaf blocks had their colours slightly edited, so this might be what you're seeing
