Hey everyone,
i was messing with /gamerule on my server
to work on some new ideas, and found this..
/gamerule nogrief .. but, it dosnt let me say true or false.
and i dont see anything about that ANYWHERE on the www.?
not sure what it is.. im using 1.8.1 for the server.
but, im in launcher version 1.8.4 when joining my server.
I dont see this option in server configs or anything.
Just wondering if anyone else as come accross this and what it means?
a possible 1.9. command update?
/gamerule is used for most creative maps. It toggles certain variables (e.g. weather, keeping inventory). It can only be used in Creative Mode (with admin privileges).
I don't think such a command exists!
(p.s. i found you on MCForum! such a coincidence lol)
Last I heard it had something to do with Mob grief, (creeper damage, Ghast, etc) But it's mostly associated with a server mod that gives you more control over certain aspects of the game.
( It's also an alternative to /gamerule mobGriefing false )
If you're looking for a way to stop grief entirely, that's not really possible. But prevention is. http://tinyurl.com/mjtnguf
/gamerule changes the way that the map is palyed. Its an op command on any gamemode.
/gamerule noGrief is NOT a game rule you can change but you can change keepInventory mobGrief and other such things. If you are trying to not have players grief other players, then get a third party minecraft server that allows you to add plugin or a forge server

/gamerule nogrief is not a command. Could possibly be coming from a plugin?
