Hey all,

I'm new to World of Minecraft (and Minecraft in general). Unfortunately, for now I can only play Minecraft Classic as it is free, but I hope to purchase the actual Minecraft game sooner or later.

I eventually ran into the problem where Minecraft Classic would not save to a file, even though it prompted me to save a file. After countless Google searches, I have yet to find the solution.

I decided to give World of Minecraft a shot, however, I can not find out how to download the Minecraft Classic files in order to play Minecraft Classic (instead of regular Minecraft) within World of Minecraft. I was hoping that playing Minecraft Classic within World of Minecraft would possibly allow me to save my game. But anyhow, how do I get Minecraft Classic within World of Minecraft?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
5H4N3

P.S. Any other suggestions on saving my game so I don't lose all my work (without keeping the browser open for ridiculous amounts of time)?

erm...

Are you talking about the "dump files"? those are not your saves, those are the...em...I think it's for World of Minecraft: Realms server only, those are the .schematic files for your realms. And in order to save the game, buy the game.  I hope this answer helps.
will this topic be locked and solved?

You don't really "set up" Minecraft Classic on World of Minecraft. All you need to do is download the World of Minecraft Client (this program basically allows you to play Classic without having to go on the site, plus it adds additional features, such as the fly, noclip and speed hacks) and extract the contents of the .zip file into a new folder. When you start up the World of Minecraft.exe file, it will prompt you to download Minecraft.jar, click Yes. After this, you can type in your Minecraft Username and Password in the respective fields, and click sign in.

You are now able to play on Minecraft Classic multiplayer servers. Unfortunately, the SinglePlayer function on the World of Minecraft client has been removed, but honestly, who would want to play Minecraft by themselves?

If you want to download the client, look here: http://www.worldofminecraft.com/Game_Client
