The subject says it all. I would try to load up a multiplayer server in World of Minecraft client 1.5 and it would give that message. There was lots of other ERROR: junk I didn't want to copy b/c I couldn't hilight it to copy/paste but that error (1285) was at the end and seemed to be the one making all of the trouble.
If it helps I'll copy the rest down later; just tell me. Oh P.S. sometimes it would happen in singleplayer too but it only happened, like, once. So LOL any help?

I am no expert but I may be right. It looks to me like your computer does not have enough RAM to run minecraft. One of my firneds had this problem a while ago and the mostyou can do is edit the run.bats code so it attempts to use 500MB of RAM rather than 800MB. Although this still didn't give him enough.

ok... too bad then. I'll have to hold off on playing minecraft for a while then... at least until I can save enough money for a new computer.
