Error: Disconnected From Server

The majority of the servers I try to connect to give me this error message, I never encountered this issue until I started using the World of Minecraft client yesterday.

However, there are a few servers I can connect too, however, I only stay connected for about 20 seconds before it goes to the red screen saying: "Error: Cannot Connect to Server", then for about a minute afterwards my internet ceases to work and I can't connect to anything.
Anyone have a similar issue or know what's going on here? I tried directly connecting to my router but even that isn't working. What's odd is that it will SOMETIMES work, like last night for example I was able to connect and play with no hassle but most of the time I get this error message and frankly it's just annoying and I don't feel like attempting to connect to a server 500 times before it decides to work.

Same problem

i cant connect to the server i created, but other people can with World of Minecraft but i cant. i can connect to every other server with World of Minecraft and it works. help!

Hello there,

Clearly this is a problem to do with your internet and not the World of Minecraft client, as you stated 'my internet ceases to work and I can't connect to anything'.
 Of course, as obvious as it may sound, you must be connected to the internet properly to connect to a server. So the client is obviously making your internet disconnect in some way. I would experiment with it... Perhaps try a different internet connection? (if possible) If you are using a laptop, try using someones WiFi, I.E: A friend, Mcdonalds or starbucks. 
Personally, I would just completely un-install the World of Minecraft client, deleting every file COMPLETELY, and re download it. I would then run it on another computer account.

Can you help?

I recently created a minecraft McStorm server, and when i try to connect with World of Minecraft, it doesnt work.It does though, let me join other servers through World of Minecraft. I can join through minecraft.net, but not World of Minecraft. Other players that join my server can join through World of Minecraft, but i cannot. Please help!

For some reason your connection isn't stable. This may be if you are wireless, you need to alot more bandwidth to the wireless connection? Also, call your ISP and have them check on their end to see why you are getting dropped in your connection. There may be a wire issue they can fix...
