Every seeds starts in survival mode?

Hi all,
I was looking for a nice seed to start a new creative world in single player mode and build my own castles. But I noticed that all seeds start in survival mode. Is this correct and why is it so?

Yeah, I know that place, but it doesn't work for me. BTW I use it with the standaard Minecraft client.

why not
download the actual client so that you dont have to play in browser, because the client never breaks

you see that box that says "game mode: survival"?
if you click that, it will say "game mode:creative"
then whatever seed you start at will be in creative mode
