Failed to run minecraft.

Well I'm using windows XP 32bit and I put the minecraft.jar in the right place but when I fire up the batch file it says,
ERROR: Failed to run minecraft
JAVA6="C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\bin\java.exe"
Press any key to continue . . .
Am I missing some sort of java file or something?

I get the same error at school. No idea why. I have the latest version of Java.
