I've been playing alot of Minecraft lately and I've been left with a few questions I hope someone can answer since I can't find any good answer to them:)
1. Enchanting. What level does I have to be to get the best enchantments? I see item levels are listed up to 55(?) on minecraft wiki but I can't use more than 30 levels when enchanting.
2. Can mobs come through my nether portal, and if so, will it be effective to build a "house" around the portal so they won't come out of it?
3. I've build a mob-spawner in the sky, so that the roof is at max altitude (I can't place another block on top of the roof). Does mobs still spawn on ground level, (which is aproximalely 180 blocks below me when I stand 28 blocks below max altitude)

The highest enchantment level is 30, which will give you the best chances of getting great enchantments.

Mobs can walk through the portal, but I think that'll only work when both portals are in loaded chunks

Some mobs can't spawn above a certain height. Check the Wiki

the answer to this is 30 you use to be able to enchant higher but they changed that.

Not that i know of it has never happened to anyone that i know so id say no.

not sure normally only build mob spawners 25-30 off the ground so that the mobs die on impact.
