Every time i play the minecraft alpha client, it crashes, showing me a black screen, and when i press something, it stops responding. I have windows vista. I looked in the task manager and under "Memory (Private Working Set) when i play minecraft, the java provess keeps going up under that. When its about 700,000 K or 800,000 K, it crashes. It only goes up, and doesnt go down. I dont have this problem with the minecraft browser version of alpha, but in that small screen its very boring. please help.
