First thing you should try is deleting the client from your computer and redownloading it from here: http://www.worldofminecraft.com/Game_Client
Also check to make sure that you are able to play through minecraft.net, because if you can't play there, then the problem is on your side.
Make sure that you are using your minecraft.net username and password.
Make sure that your java is up to date/the latest version.

ok i did login throu minecraft.net and i can play i have redownloaded it and logged in and its still saying the same thing and my java is uptodate
ok scratch that i fixed it surrprisingly some one change my pass word
