Grass not growing back in infdev?

Hi, I got a small area where i have my house in infdev surrounded buy a quite high wall, anyways i used the harvesting thingy (cant remember name) to collect seeds from the grass and make a place to plant them now my entire area is all dirt and grass isn't growing back! Will it grow in a few day and night cycles or is it gone forever?
The item i used is

Stick=S

theres ALOT of light since i have a wall that surround a small area (the wall has no roof) and my house only has its edges made out of wood the rest is class so there should be no light problem will try the connection solution :)
Edit: Tnx it worked when i connected it with other grass :)
