every time i try to open a server i always get a message saying that i couldnt get a heartbeat. i have tryed the following programs: mcsharp, mclawl, mcforge, and the software on the minecraft webpage. i also have the World of Minecraft client. the World of Minecraft client is the only thing i got going . i opened the port 25565 on my router. do i need mysql? i realy want my first server. can anyone help?

i tryed mcsharp. it still says fail to get heartbeat. minecraft is probily down.
i checked that link and it says everything is up. is that mcsharp's problem?
mclawl and mcforge both ask me for mysql and i have mysql in settings set to false. is anyone else having my problem? all the server softwares truned on me. :(

No you dont need to set up mysql but if you want more commands to work then this is the best option.
