Yeah I'm getting the same problems, sort of.
-I was getting the "500- Internal Server error" errors before, but now I'm all of a sudden getting "Oops Firefox could not connect to minecraftforum.net".
-I also get occasionaly 500 - Internal Server errors on this site as well, nowhere else on the internet though. (Besides minecraftforum)
Otherwise Fin, just download the new minecraft.exe from minecraft.net and then run it and the game should work fine.

ty, i was starting to get worrried the hacks had shut down forever. i figgured out the minecraft alpha proplem, and i think its just my mac pc that wasent allowing me to excess the forum, but my laptop will. i wonder when minecraft will come back online...

Try redownloading the .exe
Edit: also, the hacks wont work because the server list is on the same server as minecraft.net. therefore, no classic multi.
