my friend has create a minecraft server but i cant conect to his server why ??
I alwais have this message: you failed to conect to the server. it's probably down !
anyone have the solution please!

he probitly never opened a port. this means no one should be able to get on it. ask him if he can get on it. if he has a d-link router i could maybe help.

this is for ur friend...
type in ur address bar: 192.168.0.1
it should open the dlink login. keep the username admin and leave the password field blank. if it doent work look at the bottom of the router. there should be a sticker saying the password. once ur in, click the advanced tab and look to the left and click the port forwarding tab. name it minecraft. enter 25565 in the udp and the tcp field. then check it off. leave everything else. click save changes. then click rebot now. get him to try and reopen his server on 25565.
if this dosent work, get him to email him his url for the server.
ask him if it says anything about a heartbeat error.
what program is he using to run his server?

put 25565 in the start and end.
forgot about the ip. click the run button in ur start menu and type cmd. the type ipconfig. ur ip address is under ip address or under ipv4 address.

click mcsharp and go from there

I use minecraft beta 1.2_2 , the software to create a server and tunngle
but my server never work
i try to create a port with the tunngle ip : dont work
i try to create a port with my original ip : dont work
i try without a port : dont work
i try to change some setting on the server setting : dont work
:( but when someone give me an ip I can entre in his server
I want to play a survival game with my friend
