HELP problem with skins

today for the first time i tried do change my skin from this website
http://www.minecraftskins.com/ and when i found the one which i liked i picked it and i got transfered to minecraft website i confirmed my action and then i received this.
Failed to save skin: org.jets3t.service.S3ServiceException: Request Error. PUT '/MinecraftSkins/Kaniibal.png' on Host 's3.amazonaws.com' @ 'Fri, 18 Mar 2011 15:46:44 GMT' -- ResponseCode: 400, ResponseStatus: Bad Request

I think several parts of minecraft's servers are down right now. World of Minecraft isn't loading the serverlist for one, which tends to happen because of minecraft.net doing that. Just give it a few hours, and try again. Should work fine after that.
If you just want the skin to work on you in SSP, (Single Player Survival) then just open the minecraft.jar file with winrar. Be sure you've downloaded the skin you wanted as a png to your desktop. Rename it to 'char', and drag it into the 'mob' folder in your minecraft.jar, replacing the one that's already there.
If i'm not mistaken, that should replace your own skin, but only in SSP.. unless they've changed it since then. Worth a try. My skin's working fine, so I'm not about to remove it to see. xD
