i remember a lot of new players would join, and stick around, it was a great time making towns, it was competition, and stuff, and VodkaFlakes and I enjoyed playing here. We spent a lot of time planning out what our towns would become then over time we started to notice the player count dwindling until it finally became unplayable. I am not blaming anyone nor am I judging the server for seeing a decrease in player size, but I would just like to ask, would there be any way to somehow bring back the player base and have it stable to at least like 20 - 30 players? that would really make me eager to return and recreate MotherRussia with VodkaFlakes. Thanks everyone and I wholeheartedly say a warm hello to everyone who I knew on my time on this server!! hope everyone is having a blast, i will check in every now and then to see if somebody has an educated reply, thanks!
Is just a way to get people, not the best people.

Maybe everybody is doing what you're doing and waiting till there are a bunch of people on before they come back. So then nobody ends up coming back. Be the change you want to see.
Player count will be low for awhile due to school starting back for lots of people.
you could sell free coffee for $4.57, because people like to buy free things. It would draw crowds.
"you could SELL .. FREE coffee.... "
think about it dude... selling FREE things?
I don't think that's really possible.
Since it negates the whole FREE thing. :)
I like the World of Minecraft server the way it is. Its quite.
personally, I've come to HATE large stream servers with 40-more players.
Servers with 40 or less players are much better. Quite.
Less filled with hackers, scammers and jerks.
greifers... who just get on to tear itup and leave.
My experience, the smaller the server the better.
Large player bases are ONLY good for servers wanting to offer games. Since, many players are needed to help the games work right.
That's why I see a lot of servers open and close.
Cause they offer a game that another server is offering ...
yet.. they cant afford the 500 a month needed to advertise..
soooo no players.. the games wont work.. and the FEW players they do have ...leave.
It would be nice to see a MOB arena or PVP arena added to the server for the fun of it. or maybe some Parkour challenges. but, overall I think theres a nice decent player base on the server now.
I miss the player base that was. Though right now I can't recall anyone's names in particular. Much more fun with more people though.
People move on. Minecraft isn't the only game out there ;)
As far as I'm concerned, we see this decline towards to the end of an update cycle, it'll spike in 1.9 and/or when NEXUS progresses
agreed snow. either it will boom in 1.9 or there may be a chance it will sky rocket once nexus gets even better... :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Agreed Snow. Hey, I've found some new games other than Minecraft that are really fun.
;D
Perhaps some fan servers with mods or the like?
Tis a suggestion, iunno
If you're talking minecraft, they have tons of modded minigames like the blocking dead, sg w/ guns, cops and crims, etc. So, yeah.
P.S. if anyone is planning to make PE minigames that are related to any of the ones I mentioned, message my profile.
I love the mini games on Minecraft. If we could somehow get an H1Z1 type of game, that would be pretty sweet. A lot of people played when there were global competitions. I know that if I saw a competition post here on forums then I would almost always get on and make something.
Right now the only thing we get to do is play survival, or build our realm. That is fun and all but it gets boring after 2 or 3 weeks for me. I can't remember if there is a Hunger Games map yet or not, but that would be fun if we could organize a Friday Night Hunger Games or something.
I'm sure if we give Nexus some more time then people will start getting back on and what not.
BTW, What is H1Z1?
H1Z1 is a survival sandbox massively multiplayer online game in development by Daybreak Game Company. H1Z1 is currently being developed for Microsoft Windows and eventually PlayStation 4.

Could you find another source? Wikipedia is a source that is editable by anyone.
Wikipedia is fine, you can always google things for yourself you know...
I mean it makes sense that H1Z1 is what is what itsagoal1 says, but I don't trust it.
Yeah, I guess I could google it.
*Just my opinion*
I must always spread misinformation :D
Haha
Didn't mean it that way!

Honestly the best way for us to bring in more players it through advertisements, and I don't know of any official plans to advertise World of Minecraft through things like planetminecraft or the minecraft forums. An easy way for you to bring in more people is for you to recommend the server to friends if you have friends that play minecraft, that's how I learned about the server.
I'm fine with the playerbase as it is; even though there aren't a ton of people, most of the people who regularly play are pleasant to talk to.
