Hi awesome minecraft team it's oredds here! That's pronounced o-redds - it's my nickname, short for ollie redding. I am a 20 year old student at Otago University, New Zealand! You have probably heard of NZ from the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy and I hope you are also able to distinguish us apart from Australia. Nothing annoys us New Zealanders more than confusing us with Aussies!.
I'm studying classics and theology so hence the greek temple thing i built. I think a lot of my future projects on MC will be classical structures actually but I will try and vary a little bit.
I got into this crazy game through the Australian publication, PCPowerPlay. It had an article on MineCraft in which the writer described a theme-park-like environment with sights around every corner, and an adventure in which he burrowed deep under the earth with a couple of others only to break in upon a cavern of lava which proceeded to rise quickly despite their efforts to stem its flow. Only the accidental breaking-into of an underground lake saved their blocky-souls and minecraft above. I just thought - this I gotta see. I was always into lego as a kid, so this game is like reliving my childhood days.

I also play Eve Online, and other favourite games include Halo3, Left 4 Dead (can't wait for L4D2), Battlefield2, Team Fortess2, CS, Day of Defeat, Farcry2, Battle for MiddleEarth, Age of Empires2 (a classic), among others.
