Hello! It seems that some people don't understand how to properly give out points on this forum. I'm here to show you!

• A post gives lots of good information that is helpful
• Someone makes a funny post (that is actually funny)
• A build/skin that looks good (to you)

Examples: http://www.worldofminecraft.com/content/World of Minecraft-smp-and-pvp-142 MrSnowGlobe made a informative post about SMP and PvP.

http://www.worldofminecraft.com/content/think-about-World of Minecraft-sec#comment-83804 Lunick posts a funny gif because of a stupid post.

http://www.worldofminecraft.com/content/my-World of Minecraft-smp-builds chris10100 made some awesome builds on SMP.

• A post is unhelpful and/or was unneeded (Being unsupportive in the Support forum)
• Someone is offensive or posts something offensive (Swearing, flaming, whatever)
• Someone posts a skin that is obviously not theirs (Same goes with builds)

Examples: http://www.worldofminecraft.com/content/unable-authenticate-usernamepassword-locked#comment-83790 cartose777 posting in a topic and pointing out the freaking obvious.

http://www.worldofminecraft.com/content/hmmmm-who-made-first-post-ever-World of Minecraft#comment-83433 cartose777 being incredibly unfunny yet manages to still get voted up.

Which finally leads me to the DEFINITELY DO NOT category:

• Don't upvote your own posts (That's just plain cheating)

Examples: http://www.worldofminecraft.com/content/lol-i-got-mega9man-stuck-box#comment-83613 Cartose777 has 3 points on a simple post. Obvious self upvoting considering he has 2 other alt accounts.

I hope everyone understands now :)

The aim of the points system is to show who contributes the most in the community. When people abuse how to get points they clog up and cover up the real people who contribute the most to the community.
