I have a private server set up for me and my friends and I can't figure out how to make myself the admin of the server. I have the latest version of Minecraft Beta. I tried putting my username in the Ops.txt file but it didn't work. Do I have to put it in another folder as well or put a / or something before my name?

Go to Minecraft.net and click download under Minecraft Beta at the right of the screen. Download the Minecraft.exe file at the bottom of the page. After that google search a program called Hamachi and click the link that says LogMeIn Hamachi (I think its the third one on the list). Download the program (the unmanaged one) and create a server on it. You may have to register first, I'm not sure, but it's free anyway. Afterwards download the .jar file from Minecraft.net (its on the same page as the .exe file). You may want to put all the files from these downloads into a folder. Then double-click the .jar file (it should say something like Minecraft_Server Executable Jar File). When the window that pops up says done open Minecraft and go to multiplayer. Type in the IP address that is assigned to your Hamachi Server and you are finished. Anyone who wants to join your server will have to also download Hamachi and join your Hamachi server.
Note: You might not be abe to download the files from Internet Explorer; I had to use Google Chrome to be able to download the files.
