how do i use skins?

so i downloaded a skin for my guy and i dont know how to change it some 1 ? and i have downloaded texture how do i use ?

To change a Skin, you first need to purchase Alpha. I would HIGHLY suggest buying the game. Quickly! before it turns Beta!! Once done, go to www.minecraft.net, and click on preferences. Then simply upload a skin, that you either make, or download off of a site. ;)
