Hi there, the name's Charlie but you can call me Chaz. I only heard about Minecraft literally yesterday, when I was discussing Dwarf Fortress with some friends. Interested, I decided to check it out, and was greatly impressed by what I saw. :D So, in part because I was impressed, in part because it's 50% off, and in part because I love to support indie game devs in any way I can, I pre-purchased the game. I'm getting to grips with the controls but for the most part it seems to be easy enough to learn. :D

I then decided to search for Minecraft on deviantART to see if anyone else there played. One of the screenshots I saw, the player was using the World of Minecraft client. That is in part why I signed up for this forum, as I'd definitely like to do my minecrafting outside of a web browser.

I haven't made anything spectacular yet, but having seen some of the art pieces that other Minecrafters have made, I definitely have a few ideas of what I'd like to try doing.
