hey yall its daneboes and i have an idea: weve heard of hunger games in minecraft, and its becomin popular. so heres my idea: hold a huge hunger games tournament! we could divide into 4 rounds. start when 50 people come on.
when 15 die go to semi finals
when 40 die go to finals
45 die go into sudden death.
comment your thoughts and say if you want it to happen!

Something like this was suggested a few months ago, and I quite liked the idea.
If we were to do it, I think the best thing to do would be temporarily shut down PvP, SMP, or both, and put up a server with this plugin.
This poses some problems though. To keep all the people who just want to play on SMP/PvP happy, we couldn't do that, and would have to have the server running elsewhere - which I'm not sure the owners have the finances to do.
I like the idea though, and if it's a possibility, I say we do it.

Perhaps when there is going to be a map reset, just before the actual reset they can impliment this as a temporary server map. Then afterwards they can bring back the previous one, and start the transition to the new map.

I really don't see the difference between a hunger games tournament and a just a regular PVP tournament. And there's already a PVP server.
