I cannot use the nether portal :( (SOLVED)

Hi guys and girls!
I have a problem and I didn't find any solution by using Google 
So I want to try it here 
Hopefully someone can help me:
Today I was playing Minecraft offline and I built a Nether-Gate.
I lit the bottom stones and the portal appeared.
So far, so good... but now, if I want to use it, it still doesn't work.
In the creative mode there was no Problem, but in the survival mode
nothing happens, jumping into the purple "something".
What can I do?

Oh sorry, I found the problem...
It is very strange, if I stay for a while, for about 1-2 secondes, in the middle of the portal, it warps me to the nether.
Obviously a bug...
