This is the same problem as mine. I think the problem is that you put the World of Minecraft client program in the desktop and have error like that. To make it work again, put it in the original World of Minecraft Client file, I hope that should work. Also Redfirecat's idea should work too I think.

The World of Minecraft client has to be in the same file as the other 3 files.

Why don't you remove all the World of Minecraft client files that you have in your computer. then re-download them from http://www.worldofminecraft.com/Game_Client
And then before you open the game client. Pray 1 our father, 2 hail marrys and 1 glory be... and then tell god to make the client work.
Don't be surprised that i said that, i go to a catholic school. Keep it holy :p
