Upon downloading the files and placing everything where it needs to be, the program runs just fine. Until I load a Server.
A pop up coems up and tells me this. "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: input == null"

I'm not really sure what could be solving this problem. If you are on Vista, or Windows 7, Run as Administrator. that solves 70% of problems. If this doesn't help, I'll try to figure out the problem.

Make sure you have the latest JDK's. (java)

I suspect the ImageIO problem is related to missing/corrupt client files. Can you try deleting the %appdata%/.minecraft/bin and %appdata%/.minecraft/resources folder ?
The client will then redownload these files the next time it starts.

found them and deleted them still has same error msg.
