I WAS a moderator on the World of Minecraft:Main server, then it got shut down... All there is now is the Realms server which I'm fine with. The only big problem is staff ranks, such as admin, mod, owner, etc need to be put on the Realms server. There are many problems with the lack of leadership and authority right now, such as caps spamming, racism, player harassment, harsh language, etc etc. I really think that if the moderator/admin positions were introduced, there would a lot less problems.

There arent real problems anymore now the is here, people are scared of being silenced, so they stop after a warning most of the time, I cant really judge as Ive never played on the old servers, but IMO there is no need of moderating ranks, also, if people dont listen to WM, would they listen to some random moderator? Dun think so

Theres something called being social, why would you only listen to a mod?
It wouldnt happen with mods? That is complete bullsh*t, it would happen and you would just do the same as the WM.
I have never been to the old World of Minecraft servers, but Ive heard those servers got shutdown with the World of Minecraft split (ask older users bout that)
And, correct me if Im wrong, this looks like some guy being pissed because he doesnt have the power he used to have and is now trying to reconfigure the ranking system to get it back.
Also, if I rememver correctly, the moderating ranks got taken out OR cuz of power abuse OR cuz of moderator fights, Im not sure about this, ask moujave bout this

well i was part of World of Minecraft since b4 the split and i continued to play on lacours severs untill certain events that shall not be named but 1 of the probles with thoses severs is that they were TOO strict that is y they closed them down (because there were next to no people on the severs) besides the only thing that realy needs to be moderated on womrealms is the chat because any greifing to your or some1 elses build is mainly your fault for alowing a greifer to build in your realm and in most cases if you back up you realm regularly you can undo any greif caused with a couple of commands.

Micmckenzie I can see where you are coming from but the server is fine. People seem to push the rules even when we had moderators\owners. With World of Minecraft: Realms, we went for a automated friendly not run by moderators environment. We found the with moderators they never had the chance to build on the old system and that they were always cleaning up after griefers.
The only damage people can do now is spam\language, which WM handles, as Mellcor was saying if a user gets griefed or trolled it is there own fault for allowing that person and not using the appropriate commands to ignore them or evade them.
/ignore - ignore the player, makes them invisible and you dont see what they are typing
/global - turns global chat on and off, you can ignore the crap that goes on in global chat but have the freedom to talk in realm chat.
/grant - changes user realm build privs
If you find it upon yourself to rip an abusive player a new one feel free too, excesscive caps just say watch the caps and same with language, other wise if you they don't listen, jump on irc and let one of us now.

Hello Mic, I was also a mod (remember me? :P) anyway Realms is self sufficient apart from the need for WM no mods are really needed.
