Install Skins To Alpha Downloadable Client

Go To "C:\users\USERNAME\appdata\roaming\.minecraft\bin"
or on vista and 7 "%appdata%\.minecraft\bin"
open "minecraft.jar" in winrar....
name your custom skin "char.png"
Drag and drop the custom skin into the current folder.....
Play the game press F6 and see that your skin has changed.
This must be done for every update to the "minecraft.jar" or so.

You can just upload it at www.minecraft.net website under "Preferences" only you need to be logged into the account ... It works with Alpha Downloadable Client with no problems ...
