To get a new name for classic, you go make a new account. On minecraft.net. The same way you made your first account. But with a different name.

But how do i get to minecraft.net?

Under the bar you click into to type stuff in there will be a picture of a minecraft grass block, with the word "minkraftXDLOLLLXDDDDDDDDDD" right next to it. Click the word once and you will be at minecraft.net. Doesn't work on Internet Explorer.

For classic you'd just make a new account, since you don't have to actually own Minecraft to play it.
Otherwise you'd just find a plugin that allows you to change your name in your own server.
