I have an ocean monument drained, but I'm working to hollow it out and drain the surrounding area to make a large-scale guardian farm. This will take a lot of my time, and will be a lot of work that will be working against water. I want to make it public once its done, but before I make it public I want to claim the ocean monument, surrounding area, and another nearby ocean monument.
To claim the area and have a warp to it I'll need money.
I already have my warp from the last map, I'll just need to rename it.
I currently have 4k ingame of the 10k I'll need to rename it, and I won't make it public until I have the funds I need to both claim the area and rename it.
So how does this relate to you?
Basically this project will definitely be finished, but it will happen faster if people donate even small amounts.
This can be done much faster if I have helpers, but because its still unclaimed I will only ask people I really REALLY trust a ton to help. If you're not asked to help it means I either think you're busy or don't know you well enough to risk you messing stuff up.
You might be wondering why I'm going through this much effort.
Basically its because the farm will be producing huge amounts of prismarine shards and prismarine crystals, used to craft the different prismarine blocks. This will mean that your future builds can have a wider variety of blocks, and you don't even have to mine for them.
Feel free to ask me any questions you might have about this.
That looks beautiful.
I'll help if you want and I'll donate if you remind me when I'm on next
Starting gaining ground on draining the area!
I'm dividing the area into 3-wide strips to make draining easier, then using sponges to drain the water. Sponges and sand would be appreciated, and while I'll keep the sand, I'll return any sponges you want returned.
I'm stressed out on draining my own monument. I'm just one this one part, where everything just seems to connect, so it's impossible to drain the water. May consider using buckets.
Nichbal helped a ton with placing sand and draining water
And here's what it looks like after his help + some solo time.
So Yenners and Nich helped and I did some solo work. We're officially halfway done with draining!
Here's what it looks like from the top.
And here's why it's not done.
EDIT: For clarity, the second picture is underneath the monument.
But the top part is done. The bottom of the monument will be so much easier to clear out.
All of the water is gone :)
Hi Your build is awesome. Very good. It takes a lot of time. But I can't imagine getting rid of all the water first. Is this on SMP? I have recently started but have a small house near Fishay's Garden. If you need anything let me know.
Amy
I'll post another screenshot with just the empty spawnbox soon. It will be very empty before its very full.
Sorry for the lack of updates for those interested, I've been pretty darn sick, and I've had other projects going on both for school and in Minecraft.
Slimes have been spawning while I work.
Here's what it looks like so far:
Too much effort
Another 10 or so hours spent whittling away at the earth. Apparently Ilexu has a fire/infinity bow.
Its all cleared down to y=7
nice job!
EDIT: Nevermind, Go away.
That's right! I finished 2 sections after only around 720 iron and 240 dispensers. We're getting decent spawn rates, but for now I'm going to pause the guardian farm and work on an iron farm. While I'm doing that, donations of dispensers and dispenser materials, as well as iron or buckets is appreciated.
EDIT: Picture of a cluster of guardians dying from fall damage. (Edited for a closer view)
WoM Coins: 696
I've cleared the inside of the monument
