I have a brand new install of Windows 7 64-bit, and Minecraft was working great.  After the BETA release it became very slow and very jittery.  Others say the new leaf decay is causing the problem.

If so, PLEASE add a button to turn that feature off.  Or better yet, please remove that feature.
